Del Ray Farmer’s Market

The Del Ray Farmers’ Market is a food and plant-based market located in the heart of one of Alexandria, Virginia’s most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods. During the peak season, there are more than 20 farmers and vendors offering fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, fish, eggs, cheeses, breads, fresh pasta, baked goods and cut flowers.

Versailles Art & Rugs Gallery Wine + Cheese Night

Adoption Event at Barkhaus

Join Petey & Furends on Saturday, April 9th for an adoption event with Barkhaus in Alexandria! Help socialize rescue pups from 3:00pm to 5:00pm this Saturday! Barkhaus will remain open to the public and encourage guests to come support local rescues.

Cherry Blossom Jubilee at the Torpedo Factory

An Official Event of the National Cherry Blossom Festival

April 10 | 12 – 3 PM

Celebrate the Cherry Blossoms during the height of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. After Saturday’s Cherry Blossom Parade in D.C., stop by the heart of Alexandria the next day to enjoy cherry blossom-themed activities and other events. Kick off the celebrations at noon with a live performance by taiko drum group Nen Daiko by the Waterfront entrance. Afterward, view cherry-blossom-inspired works of art throughout studios and galleries on all three floors. Enjoy music and live art demonstrations from participating TFAC artists.

Easter Egg Hunt at Lee-Fendall House

April 16 – 17

Sessions offered on the hour through 3 p.m., beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday and 12 p.m.

on Sunday

Find Easter eggs hidden in the Lee-Fendall garden on this socially distant take on their popular annual egg hunt. Sessions are offered on the hour March 27 and April 3, 2021, beginning at 11 a.m. with the last one starting at 3 p.m. Attendance will be limited to enforce social distancing. Face masks are required. Advance reservations only. Bring your own basket.

Sippin’ Pretty Garden Party

2nd Annual Old Town Alexandria Charity Chili Cook-Off

April 24 | 4-6PM

This year, six culinary competitors will take part in the 2nd Annual Old Town Alexandria Charity Chili Cook-Off! New competitors this year all have their own restaurants in the DMV and include Kevin Tien (Moon Rabbit), mentioned in the 2021 Michelin Guide; Javier Fernandez (Kuya Ja), a DC native nominated as a finalist for RAMMY’s Rising Star of the Year and invited by the James Beard House for a Regional Spotlight featuring the Best of DC; and last but not least, Paolo Dungca (Picoletto & Pogiboy)who won the DC Central Kitchen Capital Food Fight in 2020! Back from last year is the Champion who will be trying to hold onto his title is Jimmy Lee along with restauranteurs Chad Sparrow and Noe Landini.

There will be a special guest judge panel to help us determine the winner of the BEST tasting chili and YOU (attendees) will help to choose the People’s Choice winner! Come taste the competing chilis and have fun while helping to raise donations for Feed It Forward

Raffle prize giveaways during the event include (2)front row Washington Nationals tickets, a cash prize and gift cards! Raffle tickets will be sold at the event!

PNC Parkway Classic

April 24

Lace up your running shoes for the 2022 PNC Parkway Classic. The Parkway Classic 5K course now starts and finishes at Oronoco Bay Park with a scenic and one-of-a-kind course through historic Old Town, Alexandria. Meanwhile, the 10-miler starts at George Washington’s Mount Vernon and finishes at Oronoco Bay Park with a scenic point-to-point course down the George Washington Memorial Parkway and through Old Town. Virtual options are available for 5k and 10-miler. The exciting 600-meter Kid’s Dash is designed for kids 12 and under (one parent is welcome to run alongside their little ones; no registration required). Each Dash participant will receive a special race bib and a finisher medal. There will be a limited number of Kid’s Dash spots, so register early.
